  • by

Our home was always considered to be a Protective and safe place for kids, but the data shows otherwise. Many children are injured and even die because of accidents that Occurred at home

The data indicate that about two-thirds of children’s hospitalizations due to injury are attributed to home and leisure accidents: 38.1% tumbles, 6.8% poisonings, 6.1% blunt blows, 4.8% burns, 4.6% bites / stings, 3.6% incisions / stabs.

Injuries that occur at home are some of the most sever health problems and are particularly characteristic of young children, in part because they spend most of their time at home. Another major cause of injured kids at home is due to the fact that the home is designed and equipped for adults. The entire space, heights and structure are designed for use and comfort for adults. Stairs are an example of a structure found in many homes, but in order to navigate up and down stairs safely, young children are required to learn balance, perception of depth, and coordination.
